Early Life[edit]

Darren Fontaino was born in Florespark, Texas, and was childhood friends with Avery Silman, attending the same high school and becoming sports rivals. He eventually grew up to become a gangster and one of the most feared men in Florespark, founding a nightclub called Club Merq and hiring notable Excepts such as Santwan to do his bidding.^[1] Due to his power within the city of Florespark, Fontaino eventually came to the attention of Dokumaan, who kept note of his activities despite him not being an Except like his other targets.^[2]

After speaking to Jasmine Newman, she went missing and Fontaino was subsequently visited by his childhood friend, Avery Silman. Feeling disrespected by Silman's questions, Fontaino ordered Santwan to take care of the situation.^[1]
